Although famous for its many brands of sportswear, the Moncler name is above all known for its jackets. They range from men's wear to women's jackets, from down vests to fashionable skiing jackets. Theirs was the first jacket to be filled with down; a highly popular step in the evolution of sportswear due to the lack of bulk generated by a down-filled jacket. The styles of the Moncler jacket had become so popular since its inception in 1952 that the company was asked to design the uniform for the French winter Olympic team during the games in Grenoble in 1968.

With this introduction on the world stage, it was only a matter of time before Moncler's down jackets entered world fashion, especially Italy, in the 1980's. Down jackets are frequently correlated with the rich and famous and are often seen enhancing some of the most prestigious ski slopes of the well to do. The collection is filled with chic outwear and accessories to keep you looking fantastic on the slopes and in the ski lodge, while at the same time contains a collection of parkas and bomber jackets that look terrific worn during daily life. The materials are combined in such a way in order to obtain softness, durability and water repellency, making these Moncler down jackets suitable for winter or days of inclement weather. Many customers return again and again, completely satisfied with the high quality of the product.

Last week saw the Cortina Winter Polo On Snow competition being contested, and as each year it featured the participation of Polo’s most important teams.
A prestigious and charming backdrop contributed towards the birth of a new project between   outlet moncler and the team at Hotel de la Poste, which since 1989 has always participated in the snow polo tournaments held at Cortina and which has won nine editions, with excellent ranking on the green pitches of the United Arab Emirates (1998) and Rome (2003).
Moncler contributed by providing quilted jackets for the entire team, in the form of the warm and classic Everest model for the men and the Badia model for the ladies. Both were personalised with the coat of arms of the Maniaco family which owns the Hotel De La Poste, embroidered in gold on both chest and back.
The choice of jackets was far from coincidental, given the sporting and historical nature of both garments which are the natural development of the first quilted jacket to reach the summit of K2 with the Italian expedition in 1952.
The team commented: “…the Moncler jackets were essential for withstanding the low temperatures during the tournament at 1,800m above sea level. The finishing touches and lightness were outstanding… ”
This year, too, Hotel de la Poste won the Jaeger LeCoultre Gold Cup, once again signing the honours list of Cortina’s polo event.
