There is a common misconception held amongst naïve women that men hate all things romance, that chivalry is dead, and that they would never want to watch a romantic movie. That last part is especially not true, because I would gladly watch a romantic movie as long as it doesn’t suck. Contrary to popular belief there is a way to depict relationships and romance in films without being overly maudlin and disgustingly sentimental.
