ms This Friday night, I headed down to Littleton with Nicole in tow to celebrate two very important dates: Emily's birthday and the opening of Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows. In case you didn't know, Emily is a huge fan of Harry Potter. Like, she is THE fan. She named her dogs "Diggory and Ginny". Her living room is modeled (in a classy way) after Dumbledore's office. She belongs to a Quidditich team. Which is all cool with me, since I am also a big fan. I've never been so engaged, so entranced with a book than I was with the entire Harry Potter series. It was truly magical reading. And watching the movies is like licking the icing off of a truly decadent cake, the best cake you've ever had.

Surely professionals will say bad things about this film. Do not listen to them. This a GOOD movie. The one you like to see with all your family,   you talk about for hours with your children. The one who is worth to see on wide screen, and will be rediscovered while seeing on DVD. The one which reborns your childhood. Of course everybody will compare it   to the 50's one, with Gina and Gerard. But this one is good by itself ! Vincent Perez is amazing, everything he can do without special effects help is

A pleasing, typical Disney tale from the late 50's, whilst "Old Yeller" boasts nothing either remarkable or original, its laid-back story and its simple approach is bound to please younger, less demanding children. Meanwhile, the truly dated yet lighthearted and entertaining aspects of this western-set movie are bound to both amuse and appeal to the adults, resuting in a warm, gentle little tale.   The "Old Yeller" of the title, is, in fact, a stray dog, which, after one day being discovered by a young teenager (Tommy Kirk), quickly befriends and becomes part of family life in the west. The family, in fact, consists of Kirk, his brother (Kevin Corcocan), and their mother, Dorothy McGuire. Father, meanwhile, has gone away on business, with the promise of returning in some months on horse and cart.
